Guide Dogs of America is dedicated to providing guide dogs and instruction in their use, free of charge, to blind and visually impaired men and women from the United States and Canada so that they may continue to pursue their goals with increased mobility and independence. Located in Sylmar - in our own backyard - they are always looking for puppy trainers. Terrific website!

Canine Companions For Independence
Canine Companions for Independence is a national nonprofit that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly-trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. Guide dogs for the visually disabled are not trained here.

For over 21 years the Castaic Lions Santa Float has traveled the communities of Castaic and Val Verde spreading the spirit of the holiday.  Enjoy the magic of seeing Santa atop his sleigh at the end of the rooftop path children take to visit Santa and his faithful reindeer.  Spreading cheer and collecting food donations from every community in Castaic is the tradition of the Santa Float.
